I Heart Macaroons..

I have a love of all things French and pastry. I've wanted to make French macaroons since I bought some in a bakery while in France. I found this cute cook book titled I Love Macaroons by Hisako Ogita. I made these a couple of weekends ago and completely forgot to blog it. I have the memory of a goldfish sometimes. They took me a really really long time to make and a million things can go wrong when making a macaroon. I was pleased how my vanilla orange butter cream filled ones turned out (even if they do look like tiny cheeseburgers..) TIP: Bake while listening to the Marie Antoinette soundtrack. WARNING: Batter will ooze everywhere if piping bag is not securely fastened with something (rubber band would have been useful..) while trying to pipe batter on baking sheet.
