I was listening to Priscilla Ahn a lot today. I love her lyrics and her songs are all really pretty. I especially love her song "Dream." I also took some self portraits, and this is the end result.

Love from the Midwest

It's another snowy day in the Midwest. I went outside this morning to walk my dogs and although it was face numbing cold out it was a beautiful sight. It was so quiet and everything was covered in white. There was a full moon ,and the sunrise was streaking the sky with soft pastel light. I thought I'd take the time to show you what I have been up to lately.

I've been meaning to post a photo from last weekend. One of my childhood friends is getting married this summer, and she asked me to take some engagement photos of her and her fiance. She was wanting to get a photo for her save-the-date cards, and we are planning to get some more shots once it's spring (and about 20 degrees warmer!). It was a very cold afternoon, and they both stuck it out. We all shared lots of laughs ,and it was a fun day despite the cold weather. This photo was one of my favorites.

Winter Wonderland

Today I woke up to find at least 3in of powdery snow blanketing everything outside (and it's still falling). Today was a good stay inside drink hot chocolate kind of day. I took the photo above this morning of the little Russian dolls sitting on my windowsill. They looked like they were all bundled up to go outside. Speaking of Russia...not really, I needed a transition to my next paragraph...


I found out about this cool site called http://www.postcrossing.com. It’s a site that allows people to send and receive postcards from all over the world! I'm a wanderluster at heart ,and I really liked the idea of this. I shared it with a friend who has already signed up to do it. I thought it would make an appropriate and interesting feature for my blog. I’m going to see about getting a post office box this weekend ,since the post office is closed by the time I get home from work (I’m not really a workaholic).

Happy New Year

I can't believe that it is already a new year, and it's also a new decade!! I hope everyone has had a safe and happy holiday. I rang in 2011 with my bestie and former roomie in my favorite college town (Bloomington, IN...Go Hoosiers!). January always makes me think of resolutions, and what I will do this year. I have about 10 and counting. I like to make lists...what can I say? I’ll share with you a few…

 

1. Blog more! I have not been a very diligent little blogger. I’m going to work on this.

2. Eat, drink, learn, or try something new. Life is just too short not to.

3. Keep a notepad of awesome moments. If it’s awesome and I see it, it’s going in my notebook. Don’t worry if it’s really awesome I will share it with you.
