I'm back from my blogging hiatus. I've hit the road and took some time off from work. I've just spent a few days in Savannah,GA. Spanish moss on the trees, Antebellum architecture (very Gone with the Wind),and sweet ice tea with mint leaves are just a few things that made me fall in love with the city. "Hey Ya'll" in a southern twang is a common way people will greet you when you walk in to a shop. Every morning I had breakfast at a great little bakery/cafe called Goose Feathers (really good quiche). One morning I looked across the street and saw this beautiful green blouse blowing in the wind on a hanger. I'm convinced it was calling me. The shop it was hanging in front of is called Terra Cotta. It was a happy discovery. The shop is a mix of new and vintage clothing and this and that. I ended up buying the green blouse and a pair of leather sandals. Another great shop I discovered is called Paris Market. The shop was filled with all kinds of lovely things, crystal chandeliers, books, vintage cameras, and other curousities. It was like walking into a lifesize Jospeh Cornell assemblage.
After my stay in Savannah I ventured to Folly Beach, SC near Charleston. I'm now writting via my hotel room with an amazing veiw of the Atlantic. Outside of my window I can see the Folly Beach fishing pier. Yesterday I did some shopping on King Street in Charleston. Well I'm off to the beach to do some exploring and enjoy the sunshine!!! :)
I heart this video.......
